Osvaldo
Cavandoli (Cava) was born in 1920 at Maderno on
Garda lake but lives in Milan since when he was
2 years old. At 23 he began to draw for animation.
Between 1950 and 1958 he worked as producer and
director of movies with puppets. In 1969 he created
the character who made him worldwide well known
as a master of animation: LA
LINEA. The amusing Tv character, a masterpiece
of graphic and rhythmic essentiality, has been
awarded in international festivals and is broadcasted
in some 40 countries. He is also protagonist of
some books, advertising campaigns and illustration
works. Cava is author of humour illustrations
with other characters also.
